Responsibilities Use your Training and Business Analyst skills to help scientists understand the most complex system in the universe, the human brain! This is an unprecedented opportunity to use your skills helping advance our understanding of the human brain by building a research data sharing / computational science infrastructure directly supporting neurosciences research. As a Training Specialist/Business Analyst, you will be supporting the mission of NIMH, the lead federal agency for research on mental disorders to enable data from billions of dollars in investment in autism, depression, suicide prevention, PTSD, substance abuse, alcoholism, etc., to be made securely available to scientists from around the world. This is a massive peta-scale data services infrastructure and data archive which houses, harmonizes, and shares human-subjects data aimed to accelerate the progress of research in mental health. Please Note: * This position requires either US citizenship or the possession of a valid & active Green card, with the ability to pass the background investigation to obtain access to federal work sites and/or systems . * This position will be Remote/Telecommute until the COVID situation is resolved and our client OK’s a return to the work site; * This position is supporting our wrap-up of a current contract, and is currently expected to last through September, 2021. This date is subject to change. Duties and Responsibilities * Analyzing and evaluating the current business processes and identifying areas in need of improvement or development. * Researching and reviewing up-to-date business processes and new IT advancements to make the NIMH Data Archive program more modern; * Create initiatives depending on the business’s requirements and needs; * Developing metrics to ensure project and program performance; * Collaborate with users and stakeholders; * Proven expertise creating and modifying technical documents * Documenting new procedures and processes. * Working closely with senior NIMH and Gryphon management. * Working closely with the NIMH research community and Gryphon staff to develop, train, track and deliver training on how to get and use scientific data through the NDA infrastructure; * Support our Grants Data Coordinator and serving as primary point of contact for training inquiries regarding data sharing and the NDA system; * Working with Principal Investigators around the world to support the acceleration of scientific and mental health research; * Being an expert on NIH Program and Grants Management policies, procedures, and practices; * Prior experience working in a fast moving matrix team environment. * Coordinating and tracking internal training efforts to include on boarding of new staff and required staff training. Qualifications Overall, this individual must have first-rate verbal and written communication skills, excellent organizational skills, and at least 5 years of experience working in an energetic team-oriented environment. Requirements * Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study (scientific, health, IT, or communications) or MBA is required; * 5 years of successful business analyst experience supporting an enterprise system; * Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills; * Working knowledge of Agile development * 4 years of IT and systems training experience; * Knowledge of cloud technologies preferably AWS. * Demonstrated ability to develop a complex technical training program; * Exceptional written and verbal communication; * US Citizenship or a valid Green card, along with the ability to pass a background check are required. Helpful Skills * Knowledge of Atlassian Suite (Confluence and Jira); * Experience performing as a business analyst in a health or science-oriented environment; * Understanding of NIH extramural Grants Management process; * Experience training in a health or science-oriented environment; * Understanding of NIH extramural Grants Management procedures; * One must have good written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills, and be able to work well alone and as part of a team.
