Food Service Assistant

This is a Full-time position in Goldsboro, MD posted December 2, 2020.

Description of WorkThis position is designated Mandatory and must report or stayover during adverse weather events.Cherry Hospital, a State Psychiatric Hospital serving the eastern region of North Carolina is accepting applications for a permanent part-time food services assistant position to work 20 hours per week.

This is an entry level position that requires reading and interpreting written instructions and the performance of physical tasks in the food service operation.

The employee will assist higher level personnel in the preparation of food and is also involved in the cleaning activities that adhere to sanitation regulations.

Work is performed under close supervision by a higher-level food service employee and is reviewed regularly for successful completion of assignments.Work Schedule has flexible hours: 6:00 am
– 5:00 pm; 6:00 am
– 10:00 am; 3:30 pm

Minimum Education and Experience RequirementsEducation and/or experience in food service that is directly related to the job and consistent with accepted practices of the trade.Degrees must be from appropriately accredited colleges or universities.
