nn Job Summary: nn nnSales Representative is responsible for promoting specific equipment and product rental to all customers and markets in accordance with the policies of the company.nn nn nn nn Essential Duties/Responsibilities: nn Maximize sales in an assigned territory by analyzing, planning and controlling market objectives and sales opportunities with a plan of accomplishment.

Develop and orient all customers in assigned territory towards being users of company products.

Provide customers with equipment recommendations and technology advancements that enable greater productivity.

Assure all equipment deliveries meet conditions of rental agreement and monitor customer satisfaction with products.

Forward sales leads for new and used sales opportunities to light construction sales team.

Establish effective calling procedures and strategies.

Update company mailing list with customer information.

Continually monitor customer satisfaction.

Complete paperwork relative to sale, lease or rental of any company product.

Ensure the information is accurate and complete on all worksheets, quotes, warranty worksheets, etc.

Complete out demonstration requests.

Ensure credit applications are received by Finance Department within 24 hours of completion and changes in credit worthiness of customers are reported promptly to Finance.

· Complete all documentation required by Finance.nn Report all accidents involving equipment Sales or Division Manager upon notification.

File lost sales reports with management within 3 days of activity and report competitive information promptly to manager.

Work with Finance Department for collection of past due accounts and in settling customer disputes.

Ensure job-site call follow-ups on rental deliveries of one month or more are made within two weeks of delivery date.

Remain knowledgeable of all customer grievances.

Accommodate customer emergency needs during non-scheduled business hours.

Assist with preparation of marketing plans for assigned territory including forecasts, competitive activity, gross profits, etc.

Attend all new product introductions or classes, seminars, etc.

given by manufacturers as directed by management.

Work in coordination with team to achieve Continuous Improvement goals and objectives.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

nn nn nn Required Skills/Abilities: nn Self-starter able to work with limited supervision; capable of developing objectives, setting priorities, and implementing ideas in a timely manner.

High mechanical aptitude required; must understand construction phases, job situations, and project conditions for suggestion appropriate products to customers.

Excellent customer satisfaction skills and ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships.

Must be able to service existing customers with periodic scheduled visits, and effectively prospect potential new customers.

Must be a good listener with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Must be innovative and creative; able to quickly evaluate facts, and maintain good judgment when making decisions.

Clean driving record and a valid driver’s license required; capable of towing and operating equipment for demonstration purposes.

Strong PC skills and ability to self-develop and adapt to changing technology.

Frequent travel is required
– overnight or out town via car or airplane.

Must be able to handle large volumes of work in a fast-paced environment.

Must be willing to work shifts needed, including days, nights, and/or weekends to meet customer demands.

nn nn nn Education and Experience: nn Previous sales experience required.

Experience in a closely related industry such as material handling, construction, engineering or equipment distribution would be a plus.
