Job Summary:

ERI is seeking a qualified candidate for an immediate full time job opening for the position of Latin American Sales Manager. Reporting to the VP of Global Water Sales Operations and the Global Sales Director. The Latin America Sales Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the assigned territories customer accounts base from a sales perspective, develop, strengthen and further the relationship with assigned customers, and expand the customer base to increase and expand Energy Recovery’s position as the world leader in the water market. Assigned territories will include all Central and South American countries.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Meet or exceed assigned quota by creating and executing a territory sales plan, ensuring 
  • that sales pipeline remains full with qualified leads and prospects
  • Make regular visits to prospects/customers/partners/consultants/relevant tradeshows on each of the assigned countries to develop positive working relationships, build pipeline with qualified leads, grow revenues from new and existing accounts, and to educate customers 
  • on product portfolio and services
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes
  • Develop business plans, sales processes, and strategies for assigned markets that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability
  • Monitor market conditions & trends, and competition benchmark (pricing, technologies, etc.)
  • Preparation of proposals, presentations, revenue goal settings, as well as sales training
  • Engage as part of the sales team on any sales team´s strategies, for MPD strategic selling process required
  • Work effectively with internal support departments (Marketing, Accounting, Legal, etc.) wherever and whenever needed
  • Control Travel & Entertainment expenses to meet budget guidelines
  • To report to Senior Management on sales metrics, opportunities and threads
  • Ensure accurate and complete information is captured in Customer Relationship Management system (CRM)

  • Skilled at customer relationship management, business planning and execution
  • Ability to maintain positive company´s reputation and brand´s image
  • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
  • Developed written and verbal communication, listening, negotiating, and presentation skills
  • Structured mindset, organized and able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. 
  • Ability to conduct well organized training sessions and convey technical information clearly at all levels
  • Ability to work well under pressure and effectively handle peak volumes of work
  • Willingness to travel
  • 40% working time dedicated to travelling, including customer visits, trade shows, meetings and conferences
  • Perform light physical work such as computer work, reaching, standing and walking

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
  • Experience planning and implementing sales strategies
  • Experience in customer relation management
  • Experience working within a sales team and coordinating with peers and leaders
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Dedication to providing excellent customer service when needed
  • Develop and implement new sales initiatives, strategies and programs to capture key demographics
